LEAF2025
This year, in the spirit of the times, we’ve slashed our programming, and are reaching out to our friends in the 51st state, and former NATO allies. We’ve adopted Russian-looking window dressing (just-in-case), generated by AI (just-in-case), and removed all mentions of IED from you-know-where.
2025 will feature live performances from Augers Wand (Mike Cassidy and Kristian North), a multi-laser, visual music duo from Montreal; and French artist, physicist and roboticist Baudouin Saintyves, performing Water Organoids, the latest work from the Shapes of Emergence group. They will be supported by Colorado artists, because that’s what friends do.
This year we are adding what we think is a very exciting new component. The ‘electroKissa’ is based on the ‘Listening Bar’, or ‘Jazz Kissa’, which originated in Japan and has spread around the world. The focus is on deep listening to well-crafted recordings of electronic music, often on vinyl, on an outstanding high end audio system. There is limited seating for this series of events.
Bounded as if by a big reassuring hug, is the RECESS Exhibition, hosted by The Collective Community Arts Center and featuring electronic and new media works by a diverse group of Colorado-based artists including, and limited to, those with equity in the outcome. Just in case.
